Armature'68 during Covid19 (Into the Black Hole) 2020

Acrylic on canvas 50cm. x 75cm.

This painting is part of the Armature'68 Revisited series. It was painted during the lockdown period of the 2020 Covid 19 pandemic. It struck me that the images of the virus were very similar in shape to the motif that I had been using for this series. In my large painting A1 M18 Revisited, I used dots to represent people throughout the world and running through that is a distinctive life line of my family and friends. In this painting I have used the same approach, the shape of the motif is created by numerous multi-coloured dots representing the peoples of the world. The white dots represent those we have lost who are drawn to and disappear into the anonymous black hole in the centre of the painting.
