Sculpture; dead tree trunk with added African Folk Art 2.4 metres
Just 300 metres from my studio in Spain is the beautiful Andalusian beach at El Palmar. Every year, tens of thousands enjoy the golden sands and Atlantic rollers, but it holds a dark secret. It is also the landfall for those African migrants who do not reach the shore alive.
This sculpture is dedicated to all those who have perished in their attempt at a better life.
