Playing music has been a passion of mine for many years. I was taught from a young age on the guitar
but eventually found my way to the drum kit. My style as a player mainly stems from improvised music like jazz
however my experience lies in other genres like indie and rock music.
What fascinates me about music is how it invokes both the cognitive and emotional for both the listener and performer
and as a result provides a way out of everyday life.
I picked the drums because of its mass array of textures and dynamics,
from the loud crack of a snare drum to the gentle crescendo of a cymbal roll.
As a musician I aim both to support the band but also add extra colour to the music.
