Born in 1957, in Bloomington, IL, Natalie considers herself a well-rounded Midwesterner. She grew up in Indiana and Illinois, received her BA from Drake University in Iowa, married another artist from Ohio and lives in Florida.
After being introduced to the medium in high school and experimenting with it for about 6 years, she has been creating and teaching batik for over 38 years.
