Highland Challenge 2016
Once again Islesburgh Photographic Club were delighted to take part in the annual Highland Challenge competition, along with another nine clubs from the north of Scotland. Each club submitted ten images to the competition, and each image was awarded a score out of 20 by an independent judge. Islesburgh's ten images are shown here, and in each case the score out of 20 is shown after the title.
Islesburgh was placed 3rd equal with Nairn (last year 6th equal with Cromarty). And congratulations to Inverness for winning first place, and to Dingwall for second.
In addition, Islesburgh Photographic Club is proud to announce that in the Colour Projected section, Austin Taylor won first place for his image "Aurora, Wadbister" and Iain Sloan won second place for his image "Shetland wren".
Also, Austin Taylor's image "Aurora, Wadbister" won the coveted trophy for best overall image. So congratulations to both Austin and Iain.
